In his teenage years, he was training to be a professional speed skater in Chile, but at 21 he decided to make skating his hobby rather than his career. Ramirez goes out skating almost every day in the park in front of his house.

The action was spearheaded by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) to protest against the use of animal fur in Canada Goose clothing. Protesters gathered as the store was celebrating their grand opening over the week end.
